2010 Blues Cup Hotel Information

The Blues Cup Tournament Committee, would like to make your participation in our Blues Cup 2010, the most pleasant and enjoyable experience of the summer. We also would like to welcome you to San Juan Capistrano and the nearby cities. San Juan Capistrano, and the surrounding area have the second best climate in the world. As one of America's favorite summer vacation spots, Orange County hotels are in high demand during our Labor Day tournament weekend.

A LIST OF THINGS TO DO IN ORANGE COUNTY

In order to ensure adequate lodging for teams traveling to our tournament we have worked with individual local hotels to reserve blocks of rooms at reasonable rates for our participating teams. ALL BLUES CUP TRAVELING TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO STAY AT TOURNMENT HOTELS.

The BLUES CUP has established the following 2010 hotel procedures:


  1. You will only be able to see the list of hotels after your team has been accepted. ONCE YOUR TEAM HAS BEEN ACCEPTED into the Blues Cup you can log on to Gotsport.com.
  2. In your team account, Click on the event application Blues Cup.
  3. Click on the Hotels tab. The system will display a table of hotels. You can sort the table by clicking on any column heading, such as Rate.
  4. Once you determine the hotel of interest click on the name.
  5. Instructions for how to contact the hotel will be displayed in the Hotel Reservations box. Some hotels will have a toll free number with a discount code, others will instruct you to contact the property directly. Call the hotel directly using the phone number from the list; do not use reservation services or hotel chain reservation numbers unless indicated. If indicated, ask for the contact from this list by name. Be sure and mention BLUES CUP and ask for the tournament rate.
  6. Once you have made a reservation please enter the reservation number(s) and details in the reservation box.
  7. Create a rooming list is Optional. You can fill out the rooming list on the team page OR send an email to our travel coordinator hotels@scbluescup.com when your reservations are complete. Please provide the following information:
    • Team Name
    • Age Group
    • Administrative Contact person and e-mail address
    • Name of hotel where you will be staying along with confirmation number
    • Number of rooms you have booked
  8. The hotel will finalize your reservation and complete all arrangements including deposits, rooming list, and payment arrangements. Please note the hotels all have different cancellation, deposit, and reservation requirements, be sure you understand their policies prior to booking.

If your team will not require housing, we ask that you submit an e-mail with that information. This information must be provided and is considered part of your tournament application. For questions about Hotels please contact: hotels@scbluescup.com

Driving time from the various hotel locations varies from 10 to 25 minutes depending upon the time of day and traffic conditions.
